Having access to accurate and up-to-date drill and blast information is invaluable for mines to drive operational and engineering improvements based on past learnings. In many cases however this information is not readily available or requires laborious searching through blast folders and supporting information which is generally not possible in fast -paced production environments.
Insight’s team of Data & AI specialists have worked closely with the Maptek product team to develop a suite of Power BI dashboards that surfaces the correct data to assist engineers in learning from past blasts and better inform their decision making for planning, designs and scheduling. The dashboards deliver a design against actuals comparison for a wide range of blast metrics, with pie charts and spatial plots of holes coloured by dipping, backfilling, charging and wet hole information.
